The Mission of this Blog

This blog has been created to represent the ongoing worldwide effort to stop the spread of steroids in baseball. We plan to save the kids of the Dominican Republic from succumbing to steroids injected by their trainers. When we say stop steroids, we mean stop steroids. Kids in poor countries are being given steroids by their trainers, from as early as age 13. The permanent and horrible effects of steroids on kids' minds and bodies are unacceptable. Follow this blog if you want to be updated on steroid activity, and how we are attempting to eliminate steroid use in youth baseball.

Our Mission

As a civilized race of humans, we must stop the spread of steroids in sports, especially in baseball. Everyone knows that steroids enhance your muscle mass, and increase your power or arm speed. Despite these facts, steroids can cause many permanent effects on your body; all of these effects horrible and flabbergasting. Not only that, using performance enhancing drugs is cheating. Cheating goes against the moral codes that our ancient ancestors set; the code that we should all follow.
Kids look up to their favorite players, and learn from them, no matter how much they deny it. In the early 2000's, everybody adored and idolized Barry Bonds. Learning that he was cheating, because of his steroid use was a great dissapointment for his admirers. But, as a result, many realized the effect of steroids on your performance...over 700 home runs...a high batting average...and some see this as an advantage. Especially in the Dominican Republic, trainers are injecting prospects, as young as 13 years old, with steroids. The prospects train in a facility similar to the likes of a prison, with trainers serving as their guardians. So when trainers inject the kids with performance enhancing drugs, they don't object. And in many cases, they don't even know what they are being given! We must stop the spread of steroids in baseball, not only in the United States, but all over the world.
